ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR POSITION OF RESERVE DEPUTY/COURT BAILIFF
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the position of part time deputy sheriff/court bailiff officer. The position will require all applicants to possess a valid Missouri POST license, which have no criminal record, pass a background check, agree to drug testing, physical, and have on the job training. The successful applicant shall also be assigned other duties such as serving civil process, making custodial arrests, report writing, computer use, dealing with physical violence and aggressive people, assisting with criminal investigations, occasional prisoner transports, and require active participation in a team work environment to help crime victims, citizens, and other agencies.
Livingston County authorizes reserve deputy pay at $12.34 per hour and part time employees do not receive any county benefits. The sheriff’s office provides all necessary equipment and training to maintain POST requirements. This position will average no more than 20 hours per week.
