Road Patrol Deputy
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff for the Road Patrol Unit. The successful applicant must possess a current certified P.O.S.T. license, valid Missouri drivers license, typing/computer skills, excellent communications ability, able to handle stressful situations and multiple tasks, open to work a variety of shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays. Applicants must be willing to reside in Livingston County, cross train for occasional detention and bailiff duties and assist with inmates and other department needs in a teamwork approach for law enforcement. The position requires on the job training, handling and use of firearms, dealing with aggressive and violent people, and attending certified class instruction. Application process may require an oral interview(s), written test, psychological exam, physical, drug screen, high school diploma or equivalent, and background investigation. Livingston County provides a well-equipped patrol vehicle, 100% funding for L.A.G.E.R.S. retirement, all equipment/uniforms, life insurance, and employees contributes to C.E.R.F. retirement and employee health insurance. The current annual base salary for road patrol deputy is $25,677 plus any holiday and overtime pay when available and $193.66 per month from the current Deputy Sheriff Salary Supplemental Grant Fund. Reserve Deputy/Court Bailiff
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Reserve Deputy Sheriff/Court Bailiff. The successful applicant must possess a current certified P.O.S.T. license, valid Missouri drivers license, typing/computer skills, excellent communications ability, able to handle stressful situations and multiple tasks, and open to work a variety of shifts. Applicants must be willing to reside in Livingston County and cross train for other office needs in a teamwork approach for law enforcement. The position requires on the job training, handling and use of firearms, Courthouse and Courtroom security, dealing with aggressive and violent people, and attending certified class instruction. Application process may require an oral interview(s), written test, psychological exam, physical, drug screen, high school diploma or equivalent, and background investigation. Position provides no benefits and employee may receive up to 28 hours per week. The current hourly rate for reserve deputy/bailiff is $12.35.
