01/11/2019
January 06, 2019 about 10:30 p.m. the LCSO was dispatched to a call on U.S. 36 of a vehicle driving extremely fast in the wrong lanes of U.S. 36. Deputy Jordan Williams located the vehicle now going east in the east bound lanes east of Chillicothe and stopped the vehicle.
The driver, Christopher Michael Cunningham, 38, Chillicothe was subsequently arrested for alleged Driving While Intoxicated and processed and given summons to appear in Associate Court on February 13, 2019.
January 11 Sheriff Cox received a written commendation from Sergeant Chris Sims of the Moultrie County Sheriff’s Office in Sullivan Illinois. Sergeant Sims commended the quick and professional actions of Deputy Jordan Williams. Sergeant Sims noted that he was driving his wife and 3 children through Livingston County when they were nearly crashed into by the suspect vehicle.
Fortunately no one in this incident was injured. We appreciate Sergeant Sims taking the time to recognize the good work of Deputy Jordan Williams.
Sheriff Steve Cox
Reminder everyone is innocent unless and until proven guilty in a Court of Law. A mere arrest is only an allegation and nothing more.
