Incidents:

May 07 a deputy served a protection order on an adult male and the court order caused the man to leave the home. As the man was leaving the deputy asked dispatch to run a license check on him and then the man drove off before the deputy could stop him. The man was cited for Driving While Revoked and given June 18 court appearance.0

May 18 the LCSO responded to a location on Liv 228 for a trespassing issue. An out-of-state man who had earlier been arrested by the Chillicothe Police at a local business was now at the caller’s home and refusing to leave. Deputy escorted the gentleman from the home and gave a ride to a local motel.

May 19 an investigation of property damage began in Chula. Victim reported their deep freezer had been pulled away from the wall and the electric cord cut. This ruined the meat in the freezer. Additional investigation is taking place as person(s) of interest are being sought.

May 19 the LCSO investigated a traffic crash on Highway D near Liv 430. Investigation shows a 57-year-old Ludlow driver was traveling on Highway D about the speed limit when a vehicle coming from the opposite direction crested a small hill and was mostly in the wrong lane of the 2-lane highway. The first driver made split second decision to drive off the right side of the roadway and caused unknown amount of damage to his vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle reported he had driven into a grassy area on the right side of his lane and then over corrected and crossed over into oncoming traffic. Fortunately there were no serious injuries. The 25-year-old Dawn driver was cited for Carless and Imprudent Driving.

May 20 the LCSO has completed a lengthy child sex offense investigation. The incidents reportedly took place beginning in earlier 2000’s in Livingston County, Daviess County, State of Colorado and State of Utah. Various interviews have taken place. The suspect has been identified and has elected to speak with an attorney. The report will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.
