Patrol Car versus Deer Incident

02/10/2020

Deputy Wilson's patrol car damaged after hitting a deer

On Sunday evening, February 09, 2020 Deputy Wilson was working his way to a call in the southern part of Livingston County when a deer jumped into the path of the patrol vehicle. Deputy Wilson was traveling the speed limit and struck the deer with very minimal opportunity to brake.  MSHP investigated the collision at our request.

The Chevrolet Impala is a 2016 model and would have been damaged much worse if we had not had the protective bumper and guards on the front end. Fortunately our officer was not injured and the vehicle has been towed in for estimates of repair.
