Detention/Transport Officer

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) is seeking candidates for the position of Detention/Transport Officer and is not a sworn position.  The job requires being at least 21 years of age, valid Missouri chauffer license (class E), on the job training, work well with others, ability to handle and qualify with a firearm, be able to communicate with detainees and ensure secure and safe transportation of detainees to/from county jails, prison, and court. 

Position is part-time with no guaranteed minimal hours and no benefits.  Entry level pay is $12.65 per hour and may include some on-call status.  Some weeks may be busy depending on court schedules, court orders on detainee transports to prison and extraditions including some out of state extradition travel.
