Reports and Arrests

Incident Reports:

February 23rd, LCSO was in the area of LIV 2364 near the Grand River assisting CPD in searching for a stray dog when a suspicious vehicle was located at the dead-end road occupied by two individuals.  A brief investigation was conducted and resulted in the arrest of Carady Hinton, 31, Kirksville for possession of a controlled substance.  Hinton was processed at the L.E.C. transported to CCDC on a 24-hour hold.  Hinton was also wanted out of Adair County on failure to appear on a prior traffic violation.

February 24th, LCSO responded to reports of an intoxicated male allegedly leaving Southwest School in a motor vehicle.  Deputies located the vehicle which had pulled into a field entrance on LIV 416 when a traffic stop was initiated.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Timothy Bland, 53, Trenton for driving while intoxicated prior offense and violating ignition interlock requirements.  Bland was processed and ultimately transported to Caldwell County Detention Center pending formal charges.

February 29th, LCSO responded to a residence in Chula to assist the Livingston County Coroner's Office with a death scene.  Our thoughts are with the family.

February 29th, LCSO responded to a residence in the 24000 block of State Highway F in Dawn to seize narcotics.  Report to be forwarded to proper authorities.

February 29th, LCSO took a report of a sexual assault taking place in Eastern Livingston County.  Charges to be sought upon initial investigation and investigation will continue.

Arrests:

February 24th, LCSO arrested Brandi Peniston, 48, Chillicothe on a Livingston County Arrest Warrant for violation of bond conditions on Case # 23LV-CR00517-01.  Peniston was unable to post bond and was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.

February 28th, LCSO arrested Christa Phelps, 34, Bethany on a Livingston County Arrest Warrant for failing to appear on Case # 24LV-CR00038.  Phelps was unable to post bond and was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.

February 29th, LCSO responded to LIV 216 near LIV 269 in Wheeling, for a report of a suspicious vehicle/possible passed out driver.  A brief investigation was conducted and resulted in the arrest of Renee Rardin, 36, for possession of a controlled substance.  Rardin was processed and transported to Caldwell County Detention Center pending formal charges.

 February 28th, LCSO arrested Marquay Marshall, 28, Chillicothe in the 1500 block of Calhoun Street in Chillicothe on SEVEN different arrest warrants for various traffic offenses in which Marshall failed to appear for court on.  Marshall was unable to post the combined cash bond on the warrants and was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.

March 2nd, LCSO arrested Christopher Vaughn, 41, Chillicothe on a Chillicothe Municipal Warrant for failing to appear on Case # 220684331 for failing to register a vehicle.  Vaughn posted bond and was released with a new Municipal Court date.
