Fugitive Investigation Leads to Arrests and Search Warrants

03/11/2024

On Thursday, March 07, LCSO was following up on leads in a fugitive case which led LCSO deputies and CPD officers to the 1700 block of Deringer Drive in Chillicothe.  LCSO had information Kevin Ray Head, 42, had been staying in the home and Mr. Head was wanted on an active Parole Warrant on original Receiving Stolen Property conviction and has been a fugitive since April 13, 2022.  Officers were initially unable to locate anyone at the home.  While there officers observed Mr. Head and an adult female drive by and a brief chase ensued and then a foot pursuit.  Mr. Head was initially able to elude the officers.

A while later Mr. Head was spotted trying to hide under a nearby deck and was taken into custody.  Mr. Head was examined at HMC prior to being incarcerated in Caldwell County Detention Center.  Mr. Head was transferred to the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph on March 08, 2024.

This investigation resulted in LCSO Sgt. Dustin Woelfle applying for and receiving a search warrant for a residence in the 1700 block of Deringer Drive in Chillicothe.  Officers seized multiple items from the residence which allegedly includes methamphetamine, methamphetamine drug paraphernalia, rifle, and other item(s).

Officers also arrested Nicole Renee Webb, 43, Chillicothe for alleged felony Hindering Prosecution and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.  Ms. Webb remains in Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.

A locked bank bag was also seized on the initial search warrant and Deputy Jennifer Plummer applied for and received a search warrant for that locked bank bag.  The search warrant resulted in the seizure of a stolen handgun from 2021.

Investigation continues and reports being submitted to Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney and potentially the ATF for consideration of federal charge(s).

This was an excellent investigation which significant results and outstanding TEAM work between the two agencies.
