U.S. 36 in all directions at Chillicothe is expected to CLOSE within minutes.  Please avoid the flood waters and closed highways.  These may be closed for several hours and into Friday.  MoDOT will have to clear debris and check roadways for safety prior to opening once water levels drop.

The LCSO administrative office will be closed at noon.  The sheriff and deputies are working the roads, calls for service and in court.  Two employees sent home to west side of Grand River and are our emergency services for that area of the county along with Dawn First Responders, Conservation Agent, Caldwell County Sheriff and MSHP.

For emergencies call 911.  Please refrain from calling dispatch and the LCSO for issues which are not urgent such as road closures.  Monitor the LCSO website, Facebook for our office, Chillicothe Police and Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services for local information so they can continue helping in many other ways.  Thank you!
