As previously reported, February 09, 2020 our Chevrolet Impala patrol vehicle collided with a deer in southern Livingston County. The insurance adjuster has requested this vehicle be a total loss. The insurance company reports the actual cash value of the vehicle is only $8,641.50 to which a $500 dollar deductible will apply. We are working with the County Commission in attempt to find a replacement for this patrol vehicle as it had less than 100,000 miles and was intended to remain in service at least 2 more years.
As of February 20 the LCSO currently has 24 people in custody.
