Animal Abuse Case Disposition
On September 05, 2012, Mr. Donald Lee Tacy, 45, Wheeling, MO pled guilty to 2 misdemeanor charges before the Honorable James Valbracht. This stems from an LCSO investigation May 21, 2012 in Wheeling where a dog was put down by the owner/possessor by use of several items suspected of being a bow and arrow, pitch fork, and hammer. On September 05, Mr. Tacy pled guilty to Count I and II being Owner/Possessor’s Dog Bites Person 2nd Subsequent Bite class B misdemeanor and Animal Abuse class A misdemeanor. The Court withheld imposition of sentence and placed Mr. Tacy on probation for a period of 2 years under conditions of Supervision Services. Mr. Tacy was required to pay $106.50 in Court costs and $10.00 to Crime Victims Judgment. Mr. Tacy was represented by the Honorable Dan Dennis and Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren handled the prosecution of the case.
