Requesting Information on Cattle Thief

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of livestock from the south eastern part of Livingston County.  Two different locations have been the target of cattle and/or calf theft since mid February.

The first location was reported in February on Liv 312 where a total of 3 calves (2 being January calves) and 2 cows, all Black Angus breed with one cow having horns and being pregnant were stolen.

The second location was reported March 23 from a location on Liv 308 where twice someone has stolen 2 black cows each time from that property.

We are currently working with the Missouri Rural Crimes Task Force with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and other agencies on these investigations.

If you have cattle we urge you to take additional precautions in protecting your property and livestock.  Cattle thieves prefer remote locations and generally use corrals or pens the livestock owner has on site to load the animals.  The theft of any livestock is a serious felony offense in Missouri.

Should you have any information on these crimes please call us at 660-646-0515.
