Crime Mapping

New Feature Launched on Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Website

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office originally launched a website on January 25, 2012 and we are extremely pleased with the results from the public, elected officials, and other agencies!  We are happy to announce we have now added an interactive crime map to the site.  We invite the community to visit our site at www.livcoso.org to view the interactive crime map.

Having the interactive crime map on-line will allow the public to view locations where crimes have occurred in Livingston County. The crime map displays icon pinpoints for up to 15 specific crime types. Visitors may choose to view all crime types or select to view by specific crime type or search for crimes during specific date ranges.

Our Website – www.livcoso.org  provides details on all aspects of the Sheriff’s Office.   One of our goals when developing the new Website was to provide a centralized location for citizens to obtain public information about what is taking place in Livingston County, to increase safety for our citizens and community, and an overall reduction in crime.

I believe Crime Mapping will be a key feature just as the MOST WANTED Fugitive section and will help people see where and what crime is taking place, identify additional criminal acts, and provide information on those responsible to help us bring those people before the Courts.

Please note that our crime map will only crimes or potential crimes which cause an incident reported to be created.  Calls for service, minor incidents and most traffic offenses are not included with crime mapping.  Most frequently we will only use a general block address or nearby intersection for mapping purposes instead of an actual street address.  A few other incidents may not yet be on the crime map due to other or legal reasons.

The Website was developed by MostWantedWebsites.com by Brooks-Jeffrey Marketing, Inc. of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Brooks-Jeffrey specializes in the production of law enforcement and government Website solutions.
