May 08 we began investigating a burglary and theft in Ludlow. Victim reported possible burglary and deputies found a door had been forced open. Victim did not immediately notice missing property other than a box of cold medicine. Investigation continues.
May 13 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis was summoned to the Chillicothe Alternative School as a 17 year old was allegedly refusing to leave the premises and being a disruption to the school. The person was given a citation for the trespassing allegation and is to appear in Court on June 04, 2014.
May 13 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis began an investigation of alleged assault at the Chillicothe Middle School that actually took place on May 12. Parent(s), Juvenile Office and School officials have been notified and the matter is being referred to juvenile office.
May 16 we began helping a resident with Identity Theft and charges being made to his/her financial institution. The victim noticed a small $20 dollar deduction on an account and that it had been going on for some time. The deduction was being made out of state and the matter is being investigated as a fraud.
May 17 we began an investigation of alleged burglary and theft from a Chula residence. Suspect has been identified and some of the checks have allegedly been passed in Livingston and Linn County. Warrant obtained for Jeremy Orona.
May 19 we began an investigation of attempted passing a forged document at a local bank. The incident is related to the burglary in Chula on or about May 17.
The LCSO has caused Damien Richard White to be transported to the Missouri Department of Corrections after receiving a 4 year sentence in Livingston County Court on a felony violation.
Currently the LCSO has 31 people in custody at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
The LCSO, Chillicothe Police and other area agencies have been busy attempting to locate wanted fugitive(s). Yesterday officers searched at least 3 houses and are continuing with the investigations today. |
