Updates on Public Information

Last week we began an investigation of a person required to register as a sex offender that recently was released from the Missouri Department of Corrections believed to be residing in Livingston County and has failed to comply with registration.  A report will be submitted to Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren for consideration of charges.

This week we began an investigation of reported threats being made to two residents.  That investigation is continuing.

August 24 we conducted an investigation in Wheeling regarding a Domestic Violence Disturbance.  Investigation shows two siblings were in verbal argument only.  One person struck a wall with their fist in anger but no criminal violation took place.

August 24 a deputy responded to a disturbance call in Ludlow regarding a possible display of a shotgun in an angry manner.  The investigation suggests an intoxicated subject was driving careless and imprudent in Ludlow and at some point words were exchanged with a resident there.  That resident allegedly possessed a shotgun but at this point there is no credible evidence or witness that suggests the individual with the shotgun was being threatening or ever pointed the weapon in an unsafe direction.  The person that was allegedly intoxicated on the ATV is on Probation/Parole and was less then cooperative with the deputy.  Another deputy and a trooper assisted in that investigation.  One male was arrested and the prosecutor is continuing to review the entire case before any charges may be filed.

August 24 an investigation began in Utica where a citizen reported 3 tires on their vehicle had been flattened.  A suspect has been identified and the matter remains under investigation as we are attempting to locate that person for interview.

August 29 a report regarding the alleged assault of a student at the Chillicothe Middle School.  The student reported to their parent having been punched in the throat area during lunch hour.  School video is being reviewed.

August 29 we began an investigation of a home burglary on Liv 424 where suspect(s) entered the home and removed and collected certain items to steal.  A home owner apparently interrupted that crime and summoned law enforcement.  Evidence suggests a female was likely involved in this crime.  Investigation continues.

August 29 we arrested Matthew Paul Tracy, 23, Brookfield, on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original charge of Stealing a Motor Vehicle.  Bond was set at $25,000 cash.

August 29 we arrested William Eric Wilson, 48, Chillicothe on a warrant from Probation and Parole...

September 03 we arrested Russell Max McQuinn, 37, Chillicothe for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on original charge of Assault of Law Enforcement Officer.  Bond was set at $5,000 on case # 13LV-CR00290.

September 04 we served a Macon County Civil Order of Body Attachment on Tony W. Lake, 50, Marceline.  Custody of Mr. Lake was transferred to the Sheriff of Macon County.

This week a public defender was able to recover a stolen item from a client.  This item had been stolen in a burglary and was originally obtained by the burglary victim when in a foreign country.

We currently have 41 people in custody at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
