Current Public Information on Incidents and Arrests

The evening of October 26, 2014 LCSO deputies and area law enforcement were searching the area for a certain vehicle as the occupant was reported to be suicidal.  Around 7:30 p.m. a deputy responded to a call of a person laying on the roadway near a vehicle in southern Livingston County.   The person was found to have allegedly attempted suicide and the LCSO staff was assisted by the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services and MSHP.  The citizen was transported to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment where LCSO staff assisted HMC all night in guarding the patient.

October 26 a deputy investigated a report of Domestic Violence in Wheeling.  Investigation shows no criminal violation and only a verbal argument.

October 25 deputies investigated report of Domestic Violence in Ludlow.  Evidence was obtained and parties requested no prosecution.  The report will be reviewed by the Prosecuting Attorney for consideration.

October 24 the LCSO began an investigation into the report of a juvenile being forced into a vehicle and unwanted advance(s) made but no actual assault took place.  The reported victim was allowed to leave a short while later.  Information is still being gathered and all known persons and witnesses have been interviewed and cell phone/text messages may be vital to this case.  All possibilities are being investigated as the reported victim has admitted to somewhat false claim about this incident.  The juvenile office is also involved with the investigation. 

October 23 we began an investigation of Identity Theft where a couple had their identity stolen and unknown persons had filed the income tax return for the victims and collected the refund.  Investigation continues.

October 23 we began an investigation of theft of scrap materials at property on or near Liv 426.  Investigation continues.

October 20 a deputy investigated an unattended death of an elderly male in rural Livingston County.  Preliminary investigation suggests the man passed away from natural causes.  Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family, friends and loved ones.



October 17 we served a Livingston County arrest warrant on William Eric Wilson, 48, Chillicothe for alleged Sex Offender Registration Violation.  Mr. Wilson was transferred to the Daviess-Dekalb County Regional Jail (DDCRJ) in lieu of bond.

October 19 a deputy serve a Linn County arrest warrant on Nancy Leelaine Johnson, 58, for alleged class A misdemeanor Passing Bad Check.  Ms. Johnson was turned over to Linn County Sheriff in lieu of bond.

October 20 a deputy served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Nicki Lynn Swank, 40, Carrollton for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original charge of felony Leaving the Scene of Motor Vehicle Accident and Failure to Appear on a Felony.  Ms. Swank was transferred to DDCRJ in lieu of bond.

October 22 a deputy served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Ronald John Greener III, 23, Chula for alleged class C felony Tampering with a Motor Vehicle.

October 22 a deputy served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Charles Spencer Henson, 24, Chillicothe for alleged 2 counts class D felony Sex Offender Registration Violations.   Mr. Henson remained in custody with DDCRJ in lieu of bond.

October 23 the sheriff served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Gregory A. Simpson, 29, Chillicothe for alleged class C felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Mr. Simpson remained in custody of DDCRJ in lieu of bond.


Currently we have 36 people in custody at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
