Traffic Crash turns into Residential Burglary Investigation

Last night a deputy began working a vehicle crash east of Chillicothe on U.S. 36.  has turned into an all-night investigation of not just the crash but also a 1st degree burglary of a residence and theft from the home located east of Chillicothe.  At least one of the burglars had gathered items and placed outside during the burglary.  One or both men had been confronted in the home by at least one of the occupants and fled.

The LCSO and Missouri State Highway Patrol have taken two men into custody after a lengthy search of buildings and the general area of the county.
