November 19 a LCSO deputy allegedly attempted to stop a vehicle near Chillicothe and that vehicle fled from the deputy. A short chase took place and the subject was apprehended. Arrested was Kristopher K. Simpson, 33, Jamesport for a variety of traffic violations and Resisting Arrest by Flight. Mr. Simpson has since been charged in Livingston County Associate Court with alleged class D felony Resisting Arrest by Flight-Creating a Substantial Risk of Serious Injury or Death to Any Person. Bond has been set at $5,000 cash and Mr. Simpson remained incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail at the time of this press release. The deputy was assisted by the Chillicothe Police on this matter.
On November 18 a deputy was near Jackson and Walnut Streets in Chillicothe when the driver of another vehicle allegedly failed to yield to the deputy nearly causing an accident. A stop of that vehicle resulted in two citations being issued to a 31 year old Kansas City man for alleged Failure to Yield the Right of Way and Driving While Suspended.
November 18 a deputy responded to an address in southern part of the county on a prowler call. No evidence was found of any prowler. After being invited into the home a drug pipe was allegedly observed in the possession of the resident. A citation was issued.
November 18 a vehicle was found sitting on Liv 251 which was creating a traffic hazard. The Linn County owner was contacted and could not get the truck moved but reported it was not stolen. The deputy had the vehicle towed for traffic safety.
November 19 a deputy arrested Matthew Aaron Case, 24, on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original charge of class C felony Receiving Stolen Property. Bond was set at $10,000 and Mr. Case was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
November 17 deputies served a Livingston County arrest warrant on William Owen Foxworthy, 45, for alleged 2 counts class C felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Bond was set at $20,000 and Mr. Foxworthy was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
November 14 deputies served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Sandra Sue Triebel, 49, Chillicothe for alleged Probation Violation on original conviction of class C felony Possession of Controlled substance. Bond was denied by the Court and Ms. Triebel was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
November 18 Sheriff Steve Cox and Deputy Will Perez provided a 45 minute presentation to a group of citizens at the Grand River Multi-Purpose Center in conjunction with the Livingston County Library. We enjoyed sharing information with those in attendance.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office currently has 58 detainees in custody at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
