Selling or Supplying Intoxicants to Minors Joint Investigation
On January 17th the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) teamed up with the Midland Empire Alcohol Task Force in conducting an undercover investigation in our county.
The Task force provided certain staff and the minor(s) while their grant paid overtime for 2 Livingston County deputies to assist in the investigation. The group ended up making cases at 3 separate locations and issued the following citations:
- 5:48 p.m. issued a 30-year-old Chillicothe resident a citation for alleged Supply Liquor to a Minor in the 900 block of S. Washington.
- 6:13 p.m. issued a 32-year-old Breckenridge residence a citation for alleged Supply Intoxicants to a Minor in the 600 block of W. Business 36.
- 9:26 p.m. issued a 27-year-old Hamilton resident a citation for alleged Supply Intoxicants to a Minor in the 8000 block of Liv 511.
All three were given a Livingston County Associate Court date of February 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
The LCSO and Midland Empire Task Force plan to occasionally continue these types of investigation.
Free Education and Training
Together we are taking this one step further in that together we are providing training for anyone in our area wanting to attend a free Server Training Class which focuses on the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. The free training will cover the laws and teach employees and employers how to detect fake identification.
Training will be at the Chillicothe Fire Department, 700 Second Street, Chillicothe, MO on March 11, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 and there is no cost to attend.
