January 17 LCSO deputies stopped a vehicle and allegedly discovered a strong odor of burning marijuana and multiple occupants in the vehicle with the age range of 14 to 17. Investigation resulted in alleged discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. All occupants were given a ride to the LCSO where parents and juvenile officer arrived and were given information on the incident. After the young people were interviewed they were released to parent(s) and some given specific instructions by the juvenile officer. An investigation report is being submitted to Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren and Juvenile Office for consideration.
We were happy to see the parents actively involved in helping to correct any bad choices their children may have been involved with.
