01-24 Trespassing and Property Damage investigation report has been completed and cleared by arrest. Victim’s neighbor reported possible trespassing and check with land owner confirmed no one was to be on his property in the northwest part of Livingston County. Deputy discovered several ruts were created on the victim’s property and a remote cabin had been entered. Subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Toby Darren Griffin, 42, Trenton, for alleged Trespassing. Mr. Griffin was later released from the LCSO with a citation.
02-04 an investigation of reported Child Abuse came to an end by the LCSO with assistance from the Missouri State Technical Assistance Team and the Children’s Division. The investigation led to a felony warrant being issued in Livingston County Associate Court and the subsequent arrest of Amy M. Cranmer, 34, Chula, for alleged Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 1st Degree. Bond was initially placed at $5,000 on the class C felony and Ms. Cranmer was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail (DDCRJ) in lieu of bond.
02-04 an investigation of alleged Violation of Sex Offender Registration was initiated after obtaining information from the Dekalb County Sheriff. A report was submitted to Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren for consideration. This coincides with a similar investigation of the same suspect by the LCSO and Missouri Department of Probation and Parole on the suspect allegedly being in a public park with playground equipment. This has resulted in arrest warrants from the Circuit Court for alleged probation violation and a new felony allegation(s) from the Associate Court and subsequent arrest by the LCSO of Derryl Gene Matthes, 69, Chillicothe. Mr. Matthes was incarcerated in DDCRJ in lieu of bond.
02-16 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed 7 separate Compulsory School Attendance Law Violation reports with our office. The report is being submitted to Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren for consideration of charges.

02-02 the sheriff arrested Lance Michael Honeycutt, 25, on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Violation of Order of Protection for Adult. Mr. Honeycutt was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail (DDCRJ) in lieu of $5000 bond.
02-02 a Livingston County arrest warrant was served on Nathaniel P. Bruce, 32, Bosworth by the Carroll County Sheriff and extradited to Livingston County for alleged DWI-Alcohol-Persistent Offender, class D felony. Mr. Bruce was transferred to DDCRJ in lieu of $10,000 bond.
02-02 a deputy completed a fugitive investigation and requested assistance from the Carroll County Sheriff. Together the officers went to an address in Hale, MO and arrested Michelle Renee Maglio-Say, 47, Chillicothe, on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on Probation Violation on original charge of class B misdemeanor DWI-Drug Intoxication. Suspect was transferred to DDCRJ in lieu of $5000 bond.
02-07 a deputy served a Grundy County arrest warrant on Devon Aaron Hand, 29, Chillicothe, for alleged 3 counts of class A misdemeanor passing bad check. Mr. Hand posted $900 cash bond and was released pending Court appearance.
02-09 a deputy arrested a juvenile on a Livingston County arrest warrant after that person was certified to stand trial as an adult by the Circuit Court. The charge was for an alleged class C felony drug violation. (Per policy this office does not release names of juveniles arrested on felony criminal allegations.)
02-09 a deputy arrested Dillion Lee Yardley, 22, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on Bond Conditions on original class C felony allegation of Possession of Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $25,000 cash and Mr. Yardley was transferred to DDCRJ.
02-02 a report of suspicious vehicle north of U.S. 36 on Liv 255 resulted in a citation to an Illinois man for alleged driving without a valid license.
O2-06 a deputy reported seeing a pickup driving carless and imprudent while spinning its wheels when driving in reverse and backing up which caused a young child to be tossed about inside the vehicle. The driver was contacted and allegedly was yelling at the officer and upset over his belief a car had been tailgating his vehicle. The deputy issued the driver a citation for alleged carless and imprudent driving and child restraint violation. The deputy also spoke with the driver of the second vehicle.
02-19 Currently the LCSO has 32 people being detained at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
