Sheriff Steve Cox has submitted a grant application to the Missouri Department of Public Safety and the MoSMART Board seeking a total of $31,599.81 for supplemental salary and fringe benefits costs to Livingston County Deputy Sheriffs and the County of Livingston.
Presiding County Commissioner Ed Douglas is the Authorizing Official, Sheriff Cox is the Project Director and County Clerk Sherry Parks is the Fiscal Officer for the Deputy Sheriff Salary Supplemental Grant application.
If approved the grant will begin July 01, 2015 and run through June 30, 2016. This will raise the annual base wage of a Livingston County Deputy Sheriff to $30,000. Deputies with supervisory authority may receive an additional $150/month in supplement salary if approved.
We continue to take pride in our deputy sheriffs at the LCSO. We appreciate the hard work each does for the safety and security of our county and communities.
