May 13 Dawn resident reported online contact with suspect and that person had collected certain information about the victim. When the victim refused to comply with requests on line threats of physical harm have repeatedly been sent. Investigation continues.
May 12 a deputy investigated a report of a dog bite to a citizen in Dawn. The victim was treated at Hedrick Medical Center as a precaution. The animal owner has contained the animal and provided shot records to this office. We have forwarded all information to the County Health Department.
May 11 a deputy served a citizen an Adult Abuse Protection Order which prohibits any type of contact with the petitioner even through another person. Later that same shift the deputy investigated a reported violation of the protection order as the respondent allegedly used a friend to contact the petitioner on his behalf. Report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney.
May 10 Deputy Leadbetter stopped to help a young lady with a pink bicycle a few miles north of Chillicothe on Highway 65. A local resident had reported concern for this person traveling north on the 2 lane highway. The person allegedly initially gave false information. The individual was returned to a nearby care facility.
May 10 a deputy investigated a report of Domestic Disturbance in the 11000 block Liv 2355. A report is being submitted to Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren for review and consideration of charge(s).
May 06 a Ludlow resident reported the theft of a white colored ceramic flower pot from the 400 block of Main Street. Investigation continues.

May 13 deputies arrested Kevin Vaughn, 45, Chula on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class C felony Theft/Stealing valued between $500 and $25,000. Bond was set at $7,500 on case # 15LV-CR00233.
May 09 a deputy arrested Chester W. Bradshaw, 43, Chillicothe in the 200 block of E. Polk Street on a Benton County arrest warrant for alleged class A misdemeanor Passing a Bad Check. Bond was set at $375 cash. Mr. Bradshaw was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond and extradition to Benton County.
May 05 a deputy assisted a Missouri State Trooper in southern Livingston County on a vehicle stop. Officers arrested an occupant of that vehicle, Damion L. Thomas, 37, Bogard on a Lafayette County, Missouri arrest warrant. The warrant was for alleged class B felony drug violation.
Currently the LCSO has 38 people in custody at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
This past weekend 2 deputies were assigned Traffic Safety Overtime Projects. During this enforcement several citations were issued for excessive speed (13 to 21 over the posted speed limit) and 2 citations for no auto insurance.
On May 13 Presiding County Commissioner Ed Douglas did a ride-a-long with Sheriff Steve Cox and toured Livingston County. Various information was exchanged on issues in our rural communities, county, and law enforcement activities.
