  1. On March 22, Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis investigated a report of a juvenile pointing an air rifle at a loaded school bus and shooting a BB at the bus.  The investigation included the juvenile authorities, parent(s), and school officials.  The juvenile has been interviewed and administrative action is taking place with the school district.  The juvenile office has the investigating information.  There was no damage to the bus.


  1. On March 25, we responded to Wheeling regarding complaint(s) about ATV’s operated in a dangerous manner.  The deputy reported allegedly viewing careless and imprudent driving and issued citations to Brandon M. Evans, 27, and Joshua W. Davis, 22, both of Wheeling for alleged Careless and Imprudent Driving. 


  1. On March 21, we began an investigation on a reported stolen ATV from the Dawn area.  The ATV is described as a 2006 Yamaha 4 wheeler, green in color, and has a rip across the back of the seat.  Investigation continues.


  1. On March 21, we began an investigation of a stolen dirt bike from an address on Old Highway 190.  Victim reports between March 18-21, 2012 unknown person(s) entered the open garage and stole a 2003 Honda XR 100 R3 red in color dirt bike.  Investigation continues.


  1. On March 22, we began an investigation of phone harassment where the victim received unusual phone call(s).  Investigation continues.


  1. On March 24, about 2:30 p.m. a deputy checked a suspicious vehicle near Highway V and Liv 230 and subsequently arrested David L. Gordon, 20, Chillicothe, for alleged DWI-Drug Intoxication, no valid driver’s license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Also arrested was Tre Levaughn Walker, 18, Chillicothe for alleged possession of under 35 grams of Marijuana.  Both men were taken to the Livingston County Sheriffs Office where they were processed and later released on summons to appear in Court.


  1.  Deputy Chris Mueller recently attended 4-day training at Camp Dodge, Iowa on Methamphetamine Manufacturing, Investigations, and dismantling meth labs.


  1. On Monday the LCSO held in-house training for several sworn officers, detention staff, and dispatchers.  The training included annual policy review, inmate suicide, self defense, use of force, and Taser recertification.  We will continue with the in-house training for all our staff on these and other areas such as restraints, restraint chair, pepper spray, patrol safety, vehicle operations, and other areas.


  1. We currently have 30 people in custody at the Livingston County Jail, 7 of which are female detainees.
