April 24 the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) began an investigation of a reported burglary and theft of an ATV from southern Livingston County. Investigation involved the LCSO arresting Norman Justin Caselman, 36, Wheeling for the alleged crimes. Mr. Caselman was incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail. The Livingston County Court has issued an arrest warrant charging Mr. Caselman with Burglary and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and initially placed bond at $15,000 cash.
The LCSO recovered the ATV in the Wheeling area and it has been returned to the lawful owner.
April 25 the LCSO was responding to a call of a trespasser and multiple shots being fired outside a residence on private property located north east of Chillicothe. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Claude Spainhour, 67, Chillicothe for alleged Trespassing and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Mr. Spainhour was subsequently incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail. Livingston County Court has since charged Mr. Spainhour with alleged felony of Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Mr. Spainhour has posted the $5,000 and is scheduled to appear in Livingston County Associate Court at a later date.
Reminder that ALL persons are innocent unless and until proven guilty in a Court of law. A mere arrest and arrest warrant are only allegations.
