Afternoon of May 17 an LCSO officer was in the 1000 block of 1st Street in Chillicothe and observed suspicious activity. Upon further inspection that activity turned into the seizure of a loaded handgun and the arrest of a Chillicothe resident. Chief Deputy Claypole and Sheriff Cox arrested Kimberly Suzanne Brandes, 47, Chillicothe on the alleged weapons violation. On May 18 Livingston County Associate Circuit Court issued an arrest warrant for Ms. Brandes for alleged Unlawful Possession of a Firearm a class C felony and initially placed bond at $15,000. Ms. Brandes remains incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail. Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren is prosecuting this case.
