This week an anonymous person in Livingston County generously donated $1,000 toward the LCSO goal to establish a dual-purpose K-9 program in our office. Including this contribution we now have $4,000 in private donations towards our $16,500 goal. All funds donated are delivered to the County Clerk and strictly earmarked for the K-9 program.
Our goal is to obtain a well-trained dual purpose K-9 in the areas of drug detection and patrol service (building searches, tracking, officer protection, and more). This K-9 will be utilized in our area and available service to any law enforcement agency when possible.
If you wish to join our team and donate, please contact either Captain Sindy Fitzpatrick, Chief Deputy Michael Claypole, or Sheriff Steve Cox at 901 Webster Street in Chillicothe, call us at 660-646-0515, or email sheriffcox@gmail.com.
A huge THANK YOU to all of our supporters and contributors!
Please take a few minutes to view YouTube video from a highly respected K-9 trainer. I am attaching information and video from Universal K-9 Inc. This is strictly for educational purposes regarding a police dog and training:
Thought you might enjoy seeing this dog and handler. Officer Marcus and K9 Colt still have 4 more days with us but they are coming along nicely!
