June 15 the LCSO began an investigation where a registered sex offender was allegedly in Danner Park attending a ball game and witnessed being present by one or more persons. Potential registration offense crime as registered offenders are prohibited by being in a public park which has playground equipment or a pool.
June 19 the LCSO assisted the Chillicothe PD with suspicious activity information/calls and investigation of subsequent burglary/theft of firearms and vehicle.
June 25 the LCSO investigated a report of a male in Wheeling that was trespassing onto private property and talking to children in a pool. That subject was found elsewhere in Wheeling and arrested on a Livingston County arrest warrant.
June 25 early morning hours the LCSO began an accident investigation where a female was in a parking lot of a business in northwest Livingston County. Another female was driving a vehicle and ran into the pedestrian causing minor injury. The driver of that vehicle was subsequently given a ride home to Chillicothe. A deputy located that person for questioning and further investigation. A report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charge(s).
June 27 the LCSO completed 3 incident reports on persons who failed to appear in Livingston County Associate Circuit Court on summons.
June 28 the LCSO responded to a 911 call of a juvenile needing help. Investigation revealed juvenile was upset over losing internet in the home, being disrespectful to parent and family, and disobedient. No criminal violation was found.
June 25 the LCSO arrested Timothy Wayne Leatherwood, 57, Wheeling on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Trespassing and Peace Disturbance. Mr. Leatherwood was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of $500 bond.
June 27 the LCSO arrested Ryan Scott Lemmond, 19, Marceline on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original class C felony allegation of Theft/Stealing. Bond was set at $20,000 by the Court and Mr. Lemmond was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
June 28 the LCSO coordinated with various agencies in the State of Missouri during investigation to locate and arrest Cody R. McClintick on a Livingston County arrest warrant. Mr. McClintick was extradited to Livingston County the afternoon of June 29 by 2 LCSO deputy sheriffs. Mr. McClintick is now incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
LCSO staff will be out in force over the holiday weekend working long hours and focusing on criminal activity, drunk or drugged driving, aggressive driving, and keeping the public safe.
The LCSO currently has 28 detainees in custody at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
June 28 Sheriff Cox participated with a conference call for the POST Commission and the Missouri Department of Public Safety.
The LCSO is currently working on a variety of past and present criminal investigations, sharing information with other agencies, and coordinating tips on wanted fugitives.

June 25 a Chillicothe man was cited for alleged Driving While Suspended.
June 25 at 2:30 a.m. a Chillicothe driver was cited for failing to display headlights and driving while suspended.
June 26 an Indiana driver was cited on U.S. 36 and Liv 259 for 85 in a 65.
June 29 a Chillicothe man was cited for failing to register his motor vehicle with Dept. of Revenue. Tags expired in February 2016.
