March 24 about 10:30 a.m. 2 LCSO deputy sheriffs and 3 Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers went to a location in Utica in attempt to serve an arrest warrant from Pettis County, Missouri on Samuel P. Van Horn, 27, Utica for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original charges of Resisting/Interfering with Arrest, Driving While Revoked/Suspended, Careless and Imprudent Driving, and Failing to Stop at Stop Sign.
Upon attempting to execute the arrest warrant Samuel Van Horn reportedly jumped out of a window and was running from some of the officers. Mr. Van Horn quickly found himself in the loving arms of a deputy sheriff and state trooper. Mr. Van Horn was then restrained and taken to the LCSO. Mr. Van Horn has since posted bond on the Pettis County arrest warrant but now has potential additional charges in Livingston County.
