May 20 Deputy Leadbetter was on U.S. 36 near Liv 261 when he checked a Texas vehicle running 112 in a 65. The vehicle continued west and ran from the deputy while refusing to stop. The deputy noted the other vehicles on the roadway were yielding to his lights and siren but not the Texas car. The Chillicothe Police assisted on U.S. 36 near U.S. 65 by utilizing spike strips which caught one or more tires of the fleeing car.
Officers subsequently arrested the driver who was identified as Adama Gilbert S O Folligan, 44, Omaha Nebraska. Mr. Folligan had an adult passenger with him. The LCSO K-9 “Zaki” was summoned to the scene to check the vehicle. Mr. Folligan subsequently posted bond and was released with citations for 112 in a 65, Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, and No Valid Driver’s License.
Mr. Folligan was advised where his rental car was located and how he was responsible for the impound and tire repair fees. Mr. Folligan is scheduled to appear in Livingston County Associate Court on June 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
