Citizen Commendations for Deputies

  1. On Tuesday morning Sheriff Cox received a personal “Thank You” from a Livingston County resident to be shared with 4 deputy sheriffs who have helped both he and his family over the last few weeks.  Sgt. Michael Claypole and Deputy Ryan Ford had helped this gentleman when checking on his well being and he was in need of medical assistance.  The other two deputies had helped his family when there was a snake in their bedroom and his wife was terrified.  The kind citizen also noted all 4 deputies were true gentlemen, even though the 2 were scared to death of the snake.  A special commendation is being shared with Deputy Jon Maples and Deputy Jay Cooksey for removing this vicious reptile from the home.

  1. On Monday evening, Chief Deputy Jim Lightner received notice from a citizen of excellent work by Deputy Eric Menconi who recently checked on a vehicle near Wheeling and discovered the occupant was in need of medical attention and assisted with that.  The citizen was very thankful for Deputy Menconi being there and commended his service.
