June 15 the LCSO received a report of stolen license plate(s) from a parked vehicle in Ludlow. Investigation continues.
June 15 the LCSO responded to a domestic disturbance in the 22000 block of Highway 65. No arrests were made as the incident was only verbal and the parties agreed to separate for the day.
June 16 the LCSO investigated a delayed report of domestic disturbance in Mooresville. Both adults have been interviewed and a report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges.
June 19 the LCSO began an investigation of alleged attempted assault at the courthouse between 2 citizens on the 1st floor. No further investigation is taking place after review of the courthouse video evidence.
June 19 the LCSO responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the roadway on Highway V near Liv 251. The car was subsequently towed as it had no license, was blocking the roadway, and the last registered owner claimed they had sold the vehicle to someone else. June 16 the LCSO and MSHP served a Parole Violation arrest warrant on Michelle Williams, 47, rural Chillicothe at a residence on Old Highway 190. Ms. Williams was transferred to Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
June 16 the LCSO extradited Jacob Powell, 26, from Carroll County authorities on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on class B felony drug violation conviction. Mr. Powell was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
June 17 a deputy arrested Job B. Gonzales, 18, Raymore, MO for alleged Possession of Marijuana. The arrest took place in the 1400 block of Polk Street while assisting the Chillicothe Police on a prowler investigation. Mr. Gonzales was issued a citation and released pending Court appearance.
June 21 the LCSO responded to a call of a suicidal person in rural Livingston County. A person was detained and transported to Hedrick Medical Center for evaluation and subsequently taken to a treatment facility per court order.
June 21 the LCSO served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Cheryl Ann Gardner, 64, Breckenridge for alleged Tampering with a Witness. Ms. Gardner has surrendered to the court and subsequently posted bond.
June 21 the LCSO served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Georgia Lee Bartz, 62, Ludlow for alleged Tampering with a Witness. Ms. Bartz had surrendered to the court and subsequently posted bond.
June 15 a deputy issued a Chillicothe driver a citation for No Driver’s License.
June 16 a deputy issued a Eureka Missouri driver an excessive speed citation for 93 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Liv 419.
LCSO staff have been very busy with a variety of on-going criminal and fugitive investigations, assisting other agencies, bailiff and courthouse security, calls for service, patrol and civil process, and many other requirements.
Tuesday evening Sheriff Cox, Deputy Chris Mueller and K-9 Zaki attended the Law Enforcement Restitution Fund (LERF) meeting. Deputy Mueller and K-9 Zaki gave an update and presentation to the board. The LERF board voted to provide $1,500 toward the continued LCSO K-9 services and needs.
The LCSO currently has 22 people in custody at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.

Noah Hutcheson, 20, Springfield, Illinois. MSHP pulled him over at 36 Grand River doing 114 in a 65. 14 days jail sentence.
Qiyon DominiqueTooley, 20, Overland Park, KS. MSHP pulled her over at 36 westbound east of Hwy D doing 105 in 65. 6 day jail sentence.
