Early morning August 25 a LCSO deputy stopped a vehicle in Chillicothe for traffic violations. The passenger was believed to have a capias arrest warrant (No Bond) from Polk County Missouri for alleged failing to appear in court on driving while revoked/suspended violation. LCSO staff and Chillicothe Police Officer(s) all suspected this man was Dillion Joshua Hicks, 23, based on a driver’s license photo, scars, and physical description.
The suspect refused to cooperate and identify himself, only claiming they have the wrong man. Once at the Chillicothe Police Department the suspect refused to be fingerprinted knowing the digital prints would quickly identify who he is. The suspect was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail pending extradition by Polk County.
The female driver also refused to identify her passenger and she was provided with 2 traffic citations.
We are seeking additional charge(s) against both people involved, reports will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.
Later the suspect reportedly confirmed to DDCRJ staff he was in fact Mr. Hicks.
Another good job by all involved!
