November 03 Chief Deputy Michael Claypole was on U.S. 36 west of Chillicothe and checked a vehicle east bound at 90 in a 65. The vehicle was stopped on U.S. 36 near U.S. 65 which resulted in probable cause for a search warrant to be issued for drugs. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of high grade marijuana, drug paraphernalia/distribution supplies, and suspected cocaine.
Deputies arrested Jonathan Kristopher Scheidt, 22 and Sommer Ann Brewster, 21 on drug charges. Both have since been charged in Livingston County Associate Court with felony allegations. Mr. Scheidt is alleged to have committed a class E felony of Delivery of Marijuana 35 grams or less or Synthetic Cannabinoid and class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance. Ms. Brewster was charged with alleged class E felony Delivery of Marijuana 35 grams or less or Synthetic Cannabinoid.
Mr. Scheidt was on probation/parole at the time of stop for Robbery 1st Degree out of Jackson County, Missouri. Mr. Scheidt remains in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond. Ms. Brewster’s bond was initially placed at $2,500 dollars.
These people were travelling from Kansas City to Chicago with plans to stop in Chillicothe.
