November 03 the LCSO began an investigation of burglary, property damage, and theft from an unoccupied home in western Livingston County. Subsequent investigation led to a Grundy County man being person of interest to be interviewed on the evening of November 07 at the LCSO. That man obviously faked an urgent need to step outside the office during the interview. As upon doing so the male fled on foot and ran through various yards and successfully eluded LCSO and CPD officers. At the same time a Grundy County Deputy Sheriff was at a residence and sent photos of at least some of the reported stolen property. The LCSO is seeking arrest warrant(s) for the suspect. That individual is currently on probation for other felony conviction(s) and we are working with his probation officer as well.

November 07 the LCSO began an investigation of felony stealing from a business east of Chillicothe. A cleaning service is employed by the business. Allegedly the cleaning person allowed one or more associates to assist with cleaning the night of the crime. The next morning the business discovered specific items missing and reported to the LCSO. Video evidence has been obtained and we have spoken with some people involved and are seeking the primary suspect to interview and attempt to recover property. The best thing the suspect can do in this case is return the stolen property to the LCSO immediately.

November 07 the LCSO assisted with a car/deer collision on U.S. 36 about 2 miles west of Utica. A semi collided with a buck deer and ran over the animal, the rear trailer tires threw the animal into the path of a westbound van which was completely disabled by the collision. The van was towed by Chillicothe Truck Repair and the family was taken to a local business by the LCSO.
