Shawn Randolph Myers

November 30 the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) began an investigation of a convicted child sex offender who was allegedly residing in Livingston County in a prohibited area in addition to not registering with our office.

The suspect had last registered October 25, 2017 in Clay County, Missouri. Sheriff Cox had previously given written notice to the suspect in May of the prohibited area in relation to a specific address.

December 02 the LCSO concluded the investigation with the interview and subsequent arrest of Shawn Randolph Myers, 45, in the 100 block of Webster Street in Chillicothe. Mr. Myers was arrested for the alleged Sex Offender Registration Violations and was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.

Mr. Myers was convicted in April 1996 of Child Molestation in 1st degree in Livingston County, Missouri. Mr. Myers has since been charged in Livingston County Associate Circuit Court for the alleged felony violation of Failing to Register as a Sex Offender and bond was initially placed at $20,000. A parole warrant has since been issued from the State of Missouri for Mr. Myers as well.

Sheriff Steve Cox

Note: All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a Court of law. An arrest and arrest warrant is merely an allegation and nothing more.
