Seeking 1 Road Patrol Deputy
The Livingston County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) is accepting applications for 1 open Road Patrol Deputy Sheriff position. The successful applicant must possess a proper/valid Missouri P.O.S.T. license, Missouri driver's license, typing/computer skills, excellent communications ability, able to handle stressful situations and multiple tasks, open to work a variety of shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays. Road Patrol Staff are NOT required to reside in Livingston County. The position requires on the job training, ability to use force and handling of firearms, dealing with aggressive and violent people, attending certified class instruction, and much more. Application process may require an oral interview(s), written test, psychological exam, physical, drug screen, high school diploma or equivalent, and background investigation.
Livingston County provides equipment, 100% funding for L.A.G.E.R.S. retirement, 100% Health and Bridge Insurance for full time employees, $500 Healthcare Assistance Plan, life insurance, sick leave program and county contributes to C.E.R.F. retirement. Current 2020 annual base salary for full time deputy is $36,099 (or $17.35per hour) plus up to 13 paid holidays (additional $2,255 dollars = potential $38,354) plus overtime pay or comp time as permitted by budget. Vacation time is earned per pay period and employees can earn up to 3 weeks vacation per year with 10 years of service. These positions may also receive additional salary supplement as allows on Deputy Sheriff Salary Supplement Grant of $100 per month (not included in above salary figure).

Full Time Office Assistant Position

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office is seeking applications for a full time Office Assistant. Applicants must be honest, trustworthy, work with and maintain confidential information, and possess knowledge of office and computer equipment.
Position will be Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, require on the job training, Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System (M.U.L.E.S.) training, arrest warrant entries, jail management records duties, potential travel for training, occasional assisting a deputy with prisoner transport on female detainee(s), assist with concealed carry permits, sex offender registrations, civil and court processing and other records management.

This is often a very busy office and requires the employee to multi-task various work issues and deal with stressful situations. Vacation time is calculated per pay period and you may earn up to 3 weeks per year with 10 years or more of employment.
