Strong Showing for 2nd Amendment Rights
I believe it is prudent for you to see how Livingston County citizens show such strong support for their right to have a Concealed Carry Permit and for the 2nd Amendment.
From January 01, 2013 through March 26, 2013 we have had 81 CCW applicants and 12 CCW renewals come through this office. While during the same period in 2012 we had only 32 CCW applicants and also 32 CCW renewals come through.
Since May 2004 for all of Livingston County we have had a total of approximately 659 people obtain their Concealed Carry Permit from this office while during the entire time we have only had to revoke, suspend, or deny a total of 4 CCW permits. Yes only 2 revocations or suspensions and 2 applicants were denied due to not being in compliance with the statute as compared to approximately 659 approved applicants since May 2004 when we began issuing CCW permits. Thank you for being great Americans and responsible citizens!
I also want to personally thank everyone for the hundreds of emails, letters, and calls in showing appreciation for my support of our right to Keep and Bear Arms. It is an honor for me to be here serving as your sheriff. Thank you!
