February 06 a deputy stopped a vehicle for traffic violations and subsequently arrested Penny L. Evans, 35, Breckenridge, for alleged Driving While Suspended-2nd and No lighted headlamps. Ms. Evans allegedly resisted arrest from the deputy and had continually refused to comply with direct orders from the deputy.

The incident resulted in the seizure of a suspected methamphetamine smoking pipe and digital scales commonly used in the distribution of controlled substances. The vehicle was towed and the Ms. Evans was processed at the LCSO and later released on the traffic summons. Additional arrest is pending examination of evidence by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab.

Ms. Evans is reportedly on Probation/Parole for felony drug conviction(s) and a report was sent to the Probation/Parole Office.

February 15 the LCSO stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on U.S. 65 in the north end of Chillicothe. The traffic stop resulted in a warning for the brake light violation and the contact then resulted in the search of the vehicle. The deputy found a suspected controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The drug investigation resulted in the arrest of Dwight T. Blumhorst, 55, Jefferson City for the alleged Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Following questioning Mr. Blumhorst was released pending results of evidence testing by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab.
