Poor Parenting & Peace Disturbance Investigation

03/10/2018

March 06 the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) began an investigation of alleged Child Neglect in the Chula area. A mandated reported explained a parent allegedly brought a child to school that morning in the bed of a pickup and the child was not properly dressed for the cold temperature. There was a concern the parent drove several miles with the child in the bed of the pickup.

The LCSO made contact with the individual to continue with the investigation. We later learned the same man reportedly went to the school and was loud, yelling, disruptive, and trying to be intimidating.

The LCSO is continuing with this investigation to determine if there was poor parenting and will be submitting a report to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges on all the above. The suspect was advised to NOT have any additional contact with any school employee or be on school property without being granted consent.
