Incidents, Arrests, Citations, and MORE

Incidents:

April 26 the LCSO and MSHP responded to a location in Chula on a complaint of a firearm being discharged toward a roadway by intoxicated persons. Investigation resulted in the seizure of an AR-15 and other evidence. The two male suspects were not intoxicated but had allegedly been shooting towards a public roadway. Incident report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges.

The LCSO has been conducting an investigation of a person working as a “Medical Professional” allegedly reporting to be a licensed nurse when that was not accurate. Missouri law may have been violated in this case and the alleged suspect was working with children. A report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges.

Over the last 5 days the LCSO has responded to several calls between a landlord and tenant dispute over property, alleged trash dumping, and other issues.

The LCSO has completed an investigation of potential Theft of Utilities at a location in Utica. Person(s) may potentially be stealing use of the sewer system since their water has been shut off.

The LCSO has completed a drug investigation from February 2018. The crime lab has also confirmed the evidence is Methamphetamine. The case file will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney to seek an arrest warrant on the suspect(s).

April 30 the LCSO and Children’s Division began an investigation of reported child abuse and there was no evidence to support a criminal charge but the Children’s Division is going to continue working with the family to assist with other matters.

May 02 the LCSO completed an alleged child abuse investigation and found no evidence or probable cause to support the 3rd party allegation.

The LCSO has dealt with a variety of other landlord-tenant issues this week. The best practice is to pay your rent on time, the land lords are not here to give people a free living. When asked to move or served with an eviction notice MOVE. Too often we see people refuse to move out and we are ordered by the Court to forcefully take possession of the rental property.

The LCSO has investigated multiple recent complaints on trespassing from mushroom hunters, traffic violations, and suspicious persons.

 

Arrests:

April 20 the LCSO arrested Nathan Tylor Hoover, 31, Breckenridge, on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged failing to appear in Court. Mr. Hoover had surrendered to the LCSO and posted the $250 cash bond.

April 20 the LCSO arrested Nathan Tylor Hoover, 31, Breckenridge for alleged Probation and Parole Violation. Mr. Hoover was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.  

May 01 the LCSO completed a fugitive investigation and arrested Brian Andrew Perry, 39, Chillicothe on a Linn County arrest warrant for alleged class E felony Non-Support. Mr. Perry was turned over to the Linn County Sheriff.

May 02 a deputy stopped a vehicle in Chillicothe and subsequently arrested Gayla Baker, 59, Chillicothe for alleged Driving While Intoxicated and she was issued 2 citations being for DWI and No Seat Belt. The Chillicothe Police assisted the deputy.

 

Citations:

April 22 a citation was issued to an 18 year old Chillicothe man for alleged Littering on Liv 256.

April 27 a speeding citation was issued to a Weatherby driver for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Medicine Creek.

April 27 a speeding citation was issued to an Illinois driver for 77 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Medicine Creek.

April 27 a speeding citation was issued to a Clarence driver for 81 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Route C.

April 27 a speeding citation was issued to a Madison driver for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Route C.

April 27 a citation was issued to a Chillicothe driver for No Auto Insurance.

April 28 a speeding citation was issued to a Parkville driver for 82 in a 60 on U.S. 65 and Liv 214.

April 30 a speeding citation was issued to a Mooresville driver for 94 in a 65 on U.S. 36. The suspect was turned over to the Chillicothe Police for an investigation of a separate incident.

May 01 a speeding citation was issued to a Trenton driver for 43 in a 23.

May 02 a citation was issued to a Braymer driver for no auto insurance when stopped on Highway DD and Liv 415.

 

Additional Information:

April 27 the LCSO had 3 detainees in Circuit Court to appear before Judge Thomas N. Chapman.

Recently a deputy notified Missouri Probation and Parole office of a supervised individual who was suspected of recently using methamphetamine. The suspect was then interviewed by Probation and Parole.

May 02 the LCSO had 12 detainees appear before Judge James P. Valbracht in Livingston County Associate Circuit Court.

Currently the LCSO has 28 people incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail, 7 of which are female detainees.

The LCSO has worked with a variety of other agencies this week on various criminal and fugitive investigations.
