LCSO and Midland Empire Alcohol Task Force Work Compliance Checks

On May 12 the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) and Midland Empire Alcohol Task Force conducted compliance checks in Livingston County and Chillicothe.

The Task Force provides the underage person, funds, and pays for all deputy overtime to work the investigations. The underage person attempted to buy alcoholic beverages from various retail establishments and bars in our area. The investigation resulted in 1 purchase from a local business and a 39-year-old Chillicothe woman was cited for Supplying Liquor to a Minor.

The LCSO and Midland Empire Task Force has conducted these checks for the last several years. We will continue to follow-up with additional training opportunities for the businesses and employees on legal requirements and compliance.

Our goal is to eliminate mistakes made by employees and identify anyone who is actually selling alcoholic beverages to minors.
