Incidents, Arrests, Most Wanted, Citations, and MORE

Incidents:

May 11 an investigation of possible Child Endangerment was initiated and through the course of this investigation a residence was searched and drug paraphernalia was seized. Information is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges.

May 14 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with this office regarding a parent who allegedly has not been compelling their child to attend school.   Report being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges.

May 15 the LCSO began an investigation of property damage to a vehicle in the Chula area which had about $500 in damage from having been shot with a BB gun type firearm.

May 18 the LCSO served a Court order to take possession of a house in Chillicothe as a squatter would not vacate the property. The subject was not home when the order was served, however the subjects vicious dog was present as was a quantity of drug paraphernalia. Investigation and process is continuing.

 

Arrests:

May 15 LCSO staff served multiple Livingston County arrest warrants on Joshua Christopher Caudill, 30, Wheeling. Warrants include alleged Failure to Pay/Appear on original charge of class A misdemeanor Resisting/Interfering with Arrest with bond of $1,176.50, Failure to Appear-class A misdemeanor, bond set at $500, and Failure to Appear in Court on original charge of class A misdemeanor Domestic Assault-4th degree with bond of $500. Mr. Caudill was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

 

Most Wanted:

On April 19 the LCSO added Glenn Selvie, 28, address unknown, to our Most Wanted Website due to being wanted for 2 felony counts of alleged Forgery. Mr. Selvie was arrested May 17, 2018 by Chicago PD. Extradition will take place at first opportunity.

On April 27, 2018 the LCSO added Nickkol L. Starr, 22, of Kansas City to our Most Wanted Website due to arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on class C felony drug case. On May 17, 2018 Ms. Starr was arrested by Kansas City PD. Ms. Starr will be housed at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

On May 15 the LCSO added Jackie Lee Potter, 40, Chillicothe to the Most Wanted Website due to a felony arrest warrant for alleged Assault. The Chillicothe PD arrested Mr. Potter later that day.

 

Citations:

May 09 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis issued a Chillicothe High School student a citation for Careless and Imprudent Driving. Investigation shows the driver allegedly was acting extremely dangerous with the vehicle. Parent(s) were called and the student cited with a court date of June 06.

May 13 a speeding citation was issued to a Chillicothe driver for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Liv 261.

May 14 a speeding citation was issued to a Kirksville driver for 76 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Matson Street.

May 14 a speeding citation was issued to an Altamont driver for 76 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville Junction.

May 14 a speeding citation was issued to an Emeryville California driver for 82 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Chillicothe.

May 14 a speeding citation was issued to an Excelsior Springs driver for 78 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at U.S. 65.

May 14 a speeding citation was issued to a Kansas driver for 84 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Route C.

May 14 a speeding citation was issued to a Lees Summit driver for 86 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Liv 413.

May 15 a speeding citation was issued to an Illinois driver for 77 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Utica.

May 15 a speeding citation was issued to an Illinois driver for 82 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Wheeling.

May 16 a speeding citation was issued to an Arkansas driver for 84 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mitchell Road.

 

Additional Information:

May 15 the LCSO had 13 detainees appear before Circuit Judge Thomas Chapman for Criminal Law Day.

May 16 the LCSO had 11 detainee appear before Associate Judge James Valbracht for Associate Court Law Day.

The LCSO has remained very busy this week conducting Court Bailiff and Security duty, Criminal Investigations, assisting other agencies, calls for service, and other statutory obligations.

Currently the LCSO has 31 people incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail with 6 being female detainees.
