Criminals located outside the United States are sending email and other notifications to local citizens informing them they have evidence of our citizen having an affair and demanding a specific amount of money to “destroy evidence” and not make this known.

Hopefully no one falls for this rip-off as they are merely fishing for someone who is paranoid about personal events in their life.

If you have fallen prey to a scam and are out money or your personal identification you should report the incident to your local law enforcement agency, otherwise delete the email.
