Incidents, Arrests, and MORE Information

Incidents:

June 06 a deputy was dispatched to a residence in Wheeling as a neighbor was allegedly on another neighbor’s property and going through the absent owners tool box and then reportedly attempted to gain entry into the unoccupied garage. The LCSO was able to locate the reported suspect back at their home. It was determined little or nothing was missing and no entry to the building was gained. Additional investigation led to the arrest of the report suspect being Marshall M. Cordray, 46, Wheeling for the alleged criminal acts. The suspect was arrested for the alleged violations and transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail but has since been released on a trespassing summons.

June 06 the LCSO seized a firearm at a location in Wheeling on an investigation of a prohibited person in possession of a firearm. Investigation continues at this time.

June 13 the LCSO began an investigation of a felony assault with injury that reportedly took place in southern Livingston County.

June 14 the LCSO began an investigation in Ludlow of stolen property from a parked vehicle. Investigation continues.

June 14 the LCSO responded to a report of a suicidal person that was possibly in the Breckenridge or Mooresville area. LCSO staff located the individual and that person was taken into custody and another agency was going to apply for court ordered mental health evaluation.

June 19 the sheriff was working in the Mooresville area and ran a license plate on a yellow pickup met on Liv 405 near 36 highway and when dispatch was able to respond the sheriff leaned that vehicle was stolen from Hannibal, MO but the pickup was now out of sight. The LCSO and dispatch alerted the Missouri State Highway Patrol and authorities in Caldwell County. The sheriff and deputies searched the area until we learned Hamilton PD and MSHP had found the vehicle in Hamilton and took the suspect into custody. Good work by all involved.

June 19 the LCSO and dispatch have handled numerous calls from a Wheeling resident upset on a civil issue. The individual has been advised to contact the attorney he claims to have.

June 20 the LCSO and MSHP responded to a location in Wheeling where a female was attempting to move her property from a residence and the property owner was allegedly screaming profanities at the person. Additional threats were reportedly made from another person and the person of interest in the peace disturbance would not answer the door to speak with the officers. Investigation continues and report to be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges.

June 20 the LCSO searched a home in Utica for a fugitive that had reportedly been staying there. Alleged drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana was located in open view during the search. A Utica resident was interviewed and given a ride to the probation/parole office. Charge(s) are pending.

 

Arrests:

June 14 the LCSO arrested Christopher Robert Brannam, 36, on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class A misdemeanor Violation of Protection Order. Mr. Brannam was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.

June 20 the LCSO arrested Michelle Flemings, 32, Independence on a Clay County arrest warrant for alleged Assault 4th degree. Bond was set at $5,000 and Ms. Flemings was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail pending transfer to Clay County Sheriff.

June 20 the LCSO arrested Tibrucio Almojera, 35, St. Joseph on a City of Chillicothe arrest warrant for alleged failing to appear in court on a traffic offense. Mr. Almojera was transferred to the custody of the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of $500 bond.

June 20 David Kyle Spencer, 31, Bogard, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class E felony Non-Support violation of 568.040.

June 20 added James T. Moss, 35, Chillicothe, wanted on a Livingston County arrest warrant for 3 alleged class B felony counts of Child Molestation-1st Degree, violation of 566.067 RSMO.

Arrested:

June 20 arrested Donald Lee Graybeal, 54, Laredo on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged DWI-Habitual Offender.

 

Citations:

June 15 two citations were issued to a Chillicothe driver for failing to transfer ownership of a vehicle and no auto insurance.

June 17 a speeding citation was issued to an Illinois driver for 20 over the speed limit at Wheeling junction.

June 18 a speeding citation was issued to a Minnesota driver for 16 over the speed limit.

June 18 a speeding citation was issued to an Illinois driver for 27 over the speed limit.

June 19 a speeding citation was issued to a Nebraska driver for 12 over the speed limit.

June 19 a speeding citation was issued to an Illinois driver for 18 over the speed limit.

 

Additional Information:

June 19 Chief Deputy Michael Claypole and Captain Sindy Thomas attended a 911 meeting at the Chillicothe Police Department.

June 19 Sheriff Cox and Chief Deputy Claypole attended a meeting on “Aging in Place” at the Livingston County Commission Office.

June 20 the LCSO had 23 detainees appear before Judge James P. Valbracht for mandatory hearings.

Several times this week the LCSO has assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol on traffic accidents, calls for service, and other traffic enforcement matters.

Several times this week the LCSO has attempted and even searched locations on fugitive investigations. The LCSO has received assistance from the Probation/Parole Office and on occasion from the Chillicothe Police when in Chillicothe.

The LCSO has remained busy with court, court security, criminal investigations, assisting other agencies, serving legal process, assisting pedestrians and motorists, responding to and returning many calls from citizens, and preventative patrol.
