June 29 the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office again teamed up with the Midland Empire Alcohol Task Force (MEATF) and conducted investigations in Livingston County to identity anyone providing or selling intoxicating liquor to minors.

At 7:51 p.m. a 26 year old Chillicothe man was cited for Supplying Liquor to a Minor in the 100 block of Washington Street.

At 7:57 p.m. a 50 year old Chillicothe man was cited for Supplying Liquor to a Minor in the 1100 block of Washington Street.

The LCSO and MEATF partner a couple of times each year to do these types of investigations and compliance checks. We will continue to the next phase and again offer education and training to these people and businesses.  Our goal is to eliminate future violations and minimize opportunities for minors to have alcohol related violations and traffic crashes.

The MEATF provides the overtime money for 2 deputies to work in this effort.
