On Thursday evening, July 26, 2018 Deputy Nicholas Leadbetter stopped a vehicle for 20 over the speed limit and was soon assisted by Sheriff Cox.

The driver was cited for the speeding and one of the passengers was having problems identifying herself to the officers. Further investigation showed that person was allegedly in possession of Heroin, Methamphetamine, THC Oil, and Drug Paraphernalia.

This woman claiming to be a certain person from St. Joseph was processed and booked into jail under the name and personal identifiers she was giving the officers and detention staff. While at the jail there was a problem and this lady came clean with her real identity and she is actually wanted in Buchanan County on arrest warrant(s).

The real Shyann M. Barron, 21, St. Joseph was actually the person arrested and may soon face a variety of alleged felony drug charges here in addition to alleged felony Forgery/identity theft for her additional charades and games. It is suspected Ms. Barron was actually using a close family members name and identifiers which could have caused that person huge problems in the future.

Ms. Barron is being released to Buchanan County pending formal charges being filed here.
