The LCSO has been awarded up to $3,000 for deputy sheriffs to work DWI/Impaired Driver Enforcement activities. The LCSO also can receive up to another $2,000 for Hazardous Driving (careless and imprudent, speeding, child restraint violations and other dangerous driving) violations on highways in Livingston County.

The grants pay overtime for deputy sheriffs to conduct these enforcement activities between October 01, 2018 and September 30, 2019.  Our office will periodically have Hometown Safety Projects scheduled throughout the contract period in attempts to make the roadways and our county safer.

Chief Deputy Michael Claypole applied for and is the project manager for these two safety grants.
