Incidents:

November 09 the LCSO completed an incident report on a suspect who failed to appear in Associate Court on November 07. That person, Michael Wayne Fischer, 44, Cowgill now has outstanding warrants in Livingston County for alleged Driving While Revoked/Suspended-2nd or 3rd offense, Expired Registration, Fail to Signal/Improper Signal and Operating Motor Vehicle without Maintaining Financial Responsibility (auto insurance). Suspect remains at large at this time.

November 11 the LCSO investigated a Domestic Disturbance in Wheeling. Report shows no one was assaulted and the male had left prior to our arrival. Reporting person requested no prosecution as the male will not be back.

November 11 the LCSO investigated a Domestic Disturbance on Liv 520. Incident was only verbal and the male subject was intoxicated and not wanting the female to leave. Parties separated and no crime committed.

November 13 the LCSO responded to a call of a possible drunk driver and the caller later reported the vehicle now stopped in a driveway with the driver slumped over the wheel. A deputy checked on the driver on concern of medical condition and discovered the strong odor of marijuana and subsequently arrested Gregory Michael Anderson, 49, Chillicothe for alleged Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Anderson was transferred to the custody of the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail. Mr. Anderson remains incarcerated in lieu of $5,000 bond and a parole warrant.

November 14 the LCSO investigated a report of a verbal domestic in Dawn. Both persons were interviewed and no arrest was made due to lack of probable cause.

November 15 the LCSO and MSHP responded to a location in Dawn for Domestic Violence investigation. Upon arrival the male suspect had left the area and investigation and evidence supports the reported assault. The male suspect later arrived in Chillicothe to speak with the deputy. Information and evidence was collected which resulted in the arrest of David Matthew Jeffers, 43, Braymer for alleged Domestic Assault. Mr. Jeffers has since been charged in Livingston County Associate Court for alleged Domestic Assault 3rd degree and remains incarcerated in Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.

The sheriff’s office has responded to several calls recently to either check the well-being or intervening in possible suicidal intent calls. These people have been helped with area resources and additional intervention when necessary. Reminder the holiday season is not always fun and joyful for everyone, some suffer from increased emotions and depression this time of year. Do not hesitate to call for assistance if you suspect someone is suffering or considering self-harm.

 

Most Wanted Updates:

November 10 Jackson County authorities arrested Christian James Elliott, 23, Grandview on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Tampering with a Motor Vehicle-1st degree. Mr. Elliott has been a fugitive since November 06, 2017.

November 19 the LCSO arrested Cynthia Renee Periman, 30, after she surrendered to the LCSO on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge’s Orders on Bond Conditions on class E felony Driving While Revoked/Suspended. Ms. Periman was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

 

Arrests:

November 10 Jason William Heussner, 44, Hale surrendered to the LCSO on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class A misdemeanor Assault-4th degree. Mr. Heussner posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

November 15 a deputy stopped a vehicle on Highway 190 near Liv 237 for excessive speed72 in a 55. The driver Chancelor Wade McLemore, 24, Chillicothe was arrested for the alleged speeding violation and driving while intoxicated. Mr. McLemore was processed and released with citations to appear in court on December 19.

November 17 a deputy stopped a California driver for traveling 95 in a 65 and arrested Jacob Dylan Amaro, from California and Mr. Amaro posted $250 cash bond and was released with a mandatory court appearance citation.

November 18 a deputy stopped a speeding Indiana driver on U.S. 36 and subsequently arrested Jordan Lee Lessig, 30, Indianapolis for alleged Driving While Revoked/suspended and Excessive Speed. Mr. Lessig posted $308 bond and was given a Court date of December 19, 2018.

November 19 the LCSO arrested Cameron K. Bay, 29, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on class A misdemeanor Non-Support. Bond was set at $7,537 CASH and Mr. Bay was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

 

Citations:

November 09 a deputy issued an Illinois driver a citation for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Wheeling Junction.

November 11 a deputy issued a Brookfield driver a citation for 90 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Wheeling Junction.

November 14 a Kansas City driver was cited for 90 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

November 16 a deputy issued a Chillicothe driver a speeding citation for 72 in a 55 on Highway 190 at Route Y.  

November 17 a speeding citation was issued to a Kansas driver for 84 in a 65.

November 17 a speeding citation was issued to a Grain Valley driver for 81 in a 65.

November 18 a New Mexico driver was cited for 82 in a 65.

November 18 an Illinois driver was cited for 89 in a 65.

November 18 a Crystal City driver was cited for 85 in a 65.

November 19 a Liberty driver was cited for 88 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

 

Additional Information:

November 09 Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail notified the sheriff’s office that two male detainees got into a fight and only received minor injury.

Currently the LCSO has 45 people in custody at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail, 15 of which are female detainees.

Last week the LCSO had a total of 31 detainees appear in various courts last week in Livingston County.

The LCSO has been continuing with a variety of short term and long term criminal investigations, spent significant time in court, assisting motorists, serving court process, assisting other agencies, patrol duties and traffic enforcement.
