Incidents:

The LCSO has continued with child sex offense reported last week in helping family arrange safe exam and counseling.

The LCSO has been conducting several fugitive investigations in our county.

Over the weekend staff was busy assisting disabled motorists and people who had slid off the road or were stuck.

January 04 the LCSO began an investigation of theft of gift cards from an elderly victim. The investigation shows a female employee for the State of Missouri who was employed to assist the elderly victim had been in the victim’s home on or about December 21, 2018 at which time the gift cards disappeared. Further investigation shows video of the alleged suspect using the same gift card(s) at a local business in Chillicothe. The suspect has refused to speak with the LCSO and the employer has taken administrative action. We are seeking formal charge(s) on the suspect.

January 13 and 14 the LCSO began separate incidents of animal neglect where cattle are not being fed in the northwest part of the county. Information is being sent to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges.

January 15 the LCSO assisted with a 1 vehicle injury accident on Liv 230. The result of the accident investigation was an arrest for alleged DWI by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper.

January 16 the LCSO began an investigation on sex offender registration violation(s). A report is being completed and the case file submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges.

 

Most Wanted Updates:

January 14 added Brandi Lynn Glosser, 43, Chillicothe wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

January 14 added Vonda Kathlene Glosser, 35, Chillicothe wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

January 16 added Joshua C. Caudill, 31, Chillicothe wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Forgery violation.

January 16 add Kevin R. Head, 37, St. Joseph wanted on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Stealing.

January 16 added Andrew Scot Robinson, 22, Princeton wanted on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Stealing.

 

Arrests:

January 17 we arrested John Douglass Churan, 46, Hale at the LCSO when Mr. Churan surrendered on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class E felony DWI-persistent offender. Mr. Churan posted bond on the Livingston County warrant. Mr. Churan also posted bond on 2 Carroll County Failure to Appear warrants on traffic violation(s).

 

Citations:

January 11 a speeding citation was issued to a Lees Summit driver who passed a sheriff vehicle in the heavy snow storm for 80 in a 65.

January 15 a signal violation and driving while suspended citation was issued to a Carrollton driver.

 

Additional Information:

The LCSO remains short-handed as we have 1 vacant road deputy position. We are continuing to recruit applicants from across the state.

This week the LCSO has assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol on multiple car accidents, helped stranded motorists, assisted other agencies with criminal investigations, and investigated a variety of fugitive cases, criminal investigations, civil process service, and administrative issues.

Currently the LCSO is holding 28 people in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail, 6 of which are female detainees.
