Fugitive Investigation Leads to Drug Bust and Money Seizure

January 26, 2019 LCSO Detective Ryan Ford was working on a fugitive investigation and stopped a vehicle driven by Randy Ray Campbell, 36, Chillicothe. Mr. Campbell was then arrested on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class E felony Assault-3rd degree with bond at $7,500. This was a case originally investigated by the Chillicothe Police and an arrest warrant was issued on January 25, 2019.

Further investigation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine (11 bags), distribution equipment, nearly $4,200 in cash and a small amount of marijuana.

Mr. Campbell was arrested for alleged Distribution of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail. A formal felony allegation has been filed in Associate Circuit Court charging Mr. Campbell with the alleged Distribution of Controlled Substance with bond set at $20,000.

Information has been submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of filing civil forfeiture on the cash.  Detective Ford was assisted by the Chillicothe Police and additional investigation continues.
